a game that blended science and fantasy well - Arcanum: of steamworks and magik obscura. if you enjoy rpgs i'd highly recommend it. when it came out it was pretty groundbreaking, and the leveling system was really complex(which i like) also it was full of bugs sad but like vampire masscerade

I love games, all kind of games, but to be honest, the story inside them gets boring (to me), so i prefer a good game engine, one that allows tactics and social networks. wink

I think you could compare it to FPS, if the gameplay it great nobody cares about the graphics, i still love halflife II for single player and Unreal for multiplayer even though both are very dated by now.

Really? FPS are the easiest to get dated, because they rely solely on graphics. 90% of the FPS out there are the same game with different graphics and weapons(of course there are those few that actually change the genre.) I prefer RPG for story, gameplay and immersion. I love RTS for pure tactics. Im good/great(depending on time i spend on them) at FPS, but they bore me way to quick. The only FPS i'm enjoying currently is Black Ops Zombie mode, and its about at its end life right now for me.

To get back to the silly discussion, if I was a wich and can do magic, does that mean I can't learn how to use a bow?
What I'm saying is, witches are going into batlle, wizards stay out of it.
Having witches do both magic and attacks means wizard could do more than one attack and block witches onces and a while further in battle or even do some more magic.

To be honest, I love a good fight but it's always the same and gets boring. Witches can open this up,wizards can do more.
Witches could use bows or do magic or just attack. Take the luck factor out and use this as luck factor. I like to have options in a game, in my fantasy and in real life. Saying someone can't do something because they are something is bs.

They only restriction you have in this game is the little time the dev has.

edit: but when I fantasize about witches going into battle with just a magic wand and light armour, they would be killed by the big guys with swords and pikes before the can say abra.

Those witches do have magic defense around them wich makes them very hard to touch.
Also, i heard rumours about a K1 fighter with wizzard skills!
He's a mix of harry potter and Arnold Schwarzenegger!

Does it matter? The game has a bunch of bugs and little player base and we are fighting eachtoher about if witches can use bows?
