Topic: Transports

had an idea for a new unit/equipment that would be the transport.  Transports would hold X amount of troops each, maybe 10, and no horses.

Transports by default would move at 90% of the slowest cavalry unit and would be destroyed if a unit flees the battle.  Transports would also eat 1-2 food per transport.  In the building that makes transports, speed upgrades would be available to better train the horses... this would effect the regular cavalry as well.

This would help to combat the great slow down that happens, at a cost.

if you can upgrade the transport so for each  update travel-time go faster it would be nice   tongue

Yeah thats what I meant by horses, sorry.  It would upgrade all horses, cavalry and transports.

i think this will break the game.... it's bad enough having guals ravaging villages as they are, and they are 5/rune... imagine being able to send executioners along... sure it will be somewhat slower... but consider how slow exe are... that's a HUGE advantage. exe were made slow for a reason, do not underestimate their power... they hit in 12s, a good weapon on these dudes can make them Hulks.

Well theres no way it can breack the game. Everybody still has access to them so everybody can benefit from it in the same way. Something that breacks the game is like having elfs beeing much more stronger then humans(as it is right now, well at higher value villages the strenghts eaven out a bit, but starting villages, elfs are much stronger).

Wham is right, only it will further break the game for humans. 

Humans are already at a severe disadvantage to Elves, and this would further widen that gap given how much more powerful execs are than spears or swordsmen.

haste? increase speed of troops by what? 30~50%? slightly more? for super expensive gem cost....
transports will be moving at a somewhat reduced cavalry speed... well... and you sure can haste the transports, lol

They do not have to be cheap enough to be mainstay items.  Say 50k wood, stone iron per, and they are destroyed when a unit flees.
