Topic: Why are runes counted when calculating honor?

Why are unused runes used in the calculation of honor? They don't effect power at all so I can't really see the point of it... Maybe it should change.

Re: Why are runes counted when calculating honor?

If you are very agressive and collect a lot of runes with attacking you are powerfull.
It's to prevent runebanking and players sending off runes to lower ranked players.
We had a couple of people that would destroy their village and send all runes to a low ranked player who could not be attacked in order to avoid losing them to a good player.

Perhaps rank should be based on the total amount of runes in the village, not just honor.
That way honor and rank would be in sync again.

Your village is 38100% bigger than the defending village. You will probably lose 90 honour by attacking this village. If someone of your clan attacked this village earlier, every clan member will lose honour.

Well how about instead of restricting gameplay they just ban people that do that?...

Doing this stopped the effectiveness of pulling a Gero, at the cost of smaller players being able to grow as easily, and severely punishing you for making a castle upgrade.

That seems to be a growing problem. The game is being designed around the larger players AND the community. Starting a village is becoming more and more difficult. Certain things shouldn't be handled by the game, but by the mods...
