Topic: unlimited uprages

I was thinking it would add a diverse aspect if most spells and thief actions as well as items could receive unlimited upgrades.  Obviously some things could not fit in this system (defense from items for one) but those could be limited.

For the offensive items the % could just increase with each upgrade, for armor the defense section could just taper where it is but the HP% could increase with upgrades after that.  However each upgrade would still cost more, making the investment for items very costly.

For spells the damage spells could just keep increasing.  For other spells

And God Said:
Δ*D = ρf                   Δ*B = 0
ΔxE = -δB/δt            ΔxH = Jf + δD/δt
and THEN there was light.

Re: unlimited uprages

I hate to think about what would happen when a wizard casts a lvl 175 Fireball...

You can always have 100% represented as an upper limit which is slowly approached with respect to X (wiz lvl)... you just can't use a straightforward uniformly distributed random number.  A reverse of the exponential distribution's CDF should work fine.

7 x 13 = 28

Economics today is a race between economists striving to build bigger and better idiot-proof economic or financial models or programs, and the Universe trying to produce bigger and better idiots. So far, the Universe is winning...

Well, at a cost of 175 runes to be able to cast a lvl 175 fireball.... there is a tradeoff. Really, it would be more worthwhile to have many other towers that cast smaller fireballs.... but its a  cost/reward thing.

Nonono... I think that there should just be a little crater where the castle used to be.

Maybe there should be, maybe there should be.
