This happened on the old Stable server to me but long fail casting of a spell has been around for a long time. Most say its just bad luck. On old stable server was not a big issue but on these new server, with the costs of some spells being as high as they are failing to cast spells to many times can dry out your resources.

I see some people throwing around ideas about money income. You need to be carefull about not giving to much bonus to the ones paying. Like i've seen somebody said double defence bonus from towers??? I was one of the players who payed for the game pretty much all the time and on multiple servers but i still would not like that idea. Maybe something like 20% would be ok, but not more. Generally dont agree with a cash shop that completely limits bonuses to non-paying players. Yes add more incentive for players to pay up, but make it also somehow available to the non-paying players but for them it would take MUCH more work to get that thing. Lets take for example that defence tower that would give 20% more defence then the normal one, well that tower could still be available ingame fro free but it would cost more runes and resourses. Even if its like 10 times more, its still available ingame, not only for cash.

Very sad to see the game not doing well. I agree with Ish, the ideas were not the problem. The only thing the game lacks is developers time to implement them. I'm part of a pretty big international gaming guild, granted its mostly for MMO games but some do play these web-based games too and i tried to get some of them to try Dolumar and all of them said that its way to simple. Very little stuff to actually do. The game needs a sense of achievement for both the player and also achievement for a guild. I played Stable1 for 2 years but i didnt have anything noticeable at the end that i didnt have in the first half of the first year(well outposts were not introduced back then yet)
We could put out a lot of ideas but the only real question here is if the devs have the time to implement them?

There were others to but cant find them, probably on the old forum, i dono. But these would still only be improvements of the game. We still need actual content. There are countless other web-based RTS games that have like 10 diferent types of units, troops could get experience, level up. You could have NPC villages where players could go on a raiding party(single or guild type thing) gain rare equipements(like for example gain a legendary sword with witch you equip all your swordsman not just 1; maybe the treasure could be a blueprint to make that powerful sword or something).
Again, the problem is not the lack of ideas but the lack of time from the devs part to implement them. Daed you have to make a choice do you want the game to be something more or not. Look at Minecraft(dont think there's anyone who dosent know it, but if not just google it), just one guy made it and look at what he achieved. He allready sold a couple of millions of the game while beeing on beta!!!. IMHO anyway.

I've upgraded everything in my village to max without runes i cant do anything anymore.
Not on the subject, but i have upgraded the Castle also. I've seen that at lvl 2 i got the option to build the gem mine. Is there anything else available if you upgrade higher? My castle is curently lvl5 but can not upgrade further without building more warehouses(for wich i need runes).

This is about the old version of Dolumar from Facebook. Dont understand something there. After a bunch of attacks i managed finaly to grab runes. Well the battle report sais i did but when the troops come home i dont receve those runes. This hapened allready twice, 1 rune in each case. Am i doing something wrong here or is some bug there? I'm pretty much stuck if i dont get runes from attacks cause scouting is not possible anymore since my warehouse cant hold the resourses needed to scout and dont have runes to build more warehouses(allready upgraded the ones i have to max).

Thats what we all know allready Dem. Its the luck factor. I could live with a luck factor that can influence a battle to something like max10% win or loose but not this much like it is now. Like i said, just test battles in test server(i know troop stats are diferent there BUT the battle system works the same way). Test same battles multiple times and you will get results ranging from repelled to even 50%+ victory. That waaaaay to much of a luck factor in my book.

I said it and i'll say it again, there is NO place for luck in a strategic game. The same "problems/bugs/questions" were raised at the begining of Speed1 and then again with Speed2 and now the same with Stable2, the battle system, because of the huuuge luck factor, is totaly out of almost any logic. Just join test server and try the battle simulator, input the exact same nr of troops and the same battle multiple times, i got results ranging from repelled up to about 50% or more victory. And this was with a sizable number of troops so the ideea that the smaller the troop count the bigger the luck factor is totaly not true. I tried with about 2K troops on both sides and the outcome of battle was not even close. I say face the music, assume the fact that the "new" server rules suck and just dump it, work on a new one instead of trying to fix a sinking boat.

Well I didnt mean it like that Hidalgo. I agree that these kind of browser games need to be reset after a while, its normal. But we have the new Stable2 server so its allready kinda like Stable1 is finished, its just not closed yet. I asked for the Stable1 server not to be closed down since the very old Dolumar Legacy is still up, i think we should not loose completely the ruleset of Stable1, some people prefer the gameplay from Stable1 over the gameplay of Stable2, me included. So Daed agreed to keep the Stable1 alive but with a reset. All i'm saying here is that in my opinion, we wont have enough players around after a reset, but if the server is not reset just let to go on as is, more players would keep playing. But we do need to eliminate vacation mode, well not complitly but make it automaticly end after a set period of time, like 1 month, the vacationing player can be attacked.

I still think Stable1 should not be reset. Should go on as is. Just look at Stable2, there are barely about 300 players that actually play(maybe less). I'm sure Stable1 has much more then that, prolly because its just too hard to led go of 1year++ villages. After a reset Stable1 wont have even 100 players, i would guess maybe 50, not much of a server if you ask me.

Well this is weird. I tried now and dietmar is right. The resorses did not dissapear. But that 1 time i did loose 800K wood and about 200K stone. Its not important, really. I know i noticed it then cause i needed those resorses to upgrade castle so i was trying to ladder them. And those resorses were actually gone. But like i said, it dosent matter now.

Yeah, i typed the wrong name in the search field. It went but did not come back. This happened in my 3rd village, Holy Spirit. And sent about 800K wood and 200-300K stone to also Holy Spirit(wanted to send to my 2nd village, Son).

Well something did hapen to me. I lost all the resorses i was trying to send. Yes it was my mistake. That why i'm not complaining about it. I was just saying that a message that resembled to what Demonic posted apeared when i sent resorses to the same village. Cant be to sure though, i wasent paying much attention, i only noticed the message apearing in red square and i closed the market window, thinking that something went wrong and wanted to try again. But then i noticed the resourses gone and slowly figured out what happened ![]()

Because its beta, yes definitly. Scouting should be very very very cheap, with a set max ammount, no matter how many runes you got. Maybe something like 50K for each resource and maybe something like 6-10 hours scouting time at maximum.

Conan show me just 1 browser game where 1 clan can not get "untouchable". Its the nature of PvP games. Eventually somebody will get too powerfull. Limiting the nr of players can hold has no influence in this. Player will just create 2 clans instead of one if 1 clan can not hold all their friends. Even if no alliances are made, every clan would have the same limitations, so eventually 1 clan will rise above others. Whats the point in playing a competitiv game if you can not win??? Winning means owning a server. But if you really want to talk seriosly, if enough players join together theres absolutly no way rank1 clan can hold off an onslought. You really think 20 players can really hold off 2000 or more??? Seriosly?

Pretty sure it has nothing to do with money, maybe a little bit with work-time though. Its just that it was always said that reset of the server will be announced 3 months before it will happen. So those 3 months will end somewhere in January.

So now where back at square one? Well not really since the advantage shifted to humans and not elfs, i guess it s a change. But we need balance, not making amends for the humans for the abuse the've been suffering

I'm pretty sure i saw somewhere a battle simulator, wouldent it be easier to test changes like these with a battle simulator then test server, especially since there are to few players there and the ones that do play there allready built their villages around the advantages of speed server. For example very few players are humans, and even fewer that built enough archers to really test them. A battle simulator would work better i think. Have no idea where i saw that battle simulator but i'm pretty sure i did somewhere.

In that case, I can agree on a reset in January instead of a shutdown.
I guess its more then nothing. But i still think, we wont have enough players after a reset. If you let it continue maybe more players will stay on. I could be mistaken of course. Maybe more players would be interested in playing Stable1 after a reset. I'm just looking at Dolumar legacy from Facebook. Rank1 player there is leading by a huge difference and the rest of the players behind him are not activ, but he is still playing Dolumar legacy. I guess the bigger your village, the harder it is to let go of it.
